About the Training

In this one day masterclass, Elsa will demonstrate and train the participants in how to make use of roleplay, playful elements, working with props, cards, stories and other psychodrama therapeutic methods to intensify the experience for clients in schema therapy. Getting out of the chair and out of the head can be challenging for therapists and clients. This masterclass focuses on strengthening the Healthy Adult and Playful Child mode and getting in touch with the needs and emotions of the Child modes. Using humour and fun to get really serious!

About the Presenter

Elsa van den Broek is a highly skilled professional in the field of therapy, specializing in both Dramatherapy and Schema Therapy. With a career spanning over two decades, Elsa brings a wealth of experience to her practice. Her expertise particularly shines in her work with forensic patients. Currently based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Elsa divides her time between providing therapy at an outpatient center for forensic patients and sharing her knowledge as a lecturer at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. Through her integration of Schema Therapy principles into Dramatherapy, Elsa has garnered recognition for her innovative approach, further solidified by her contributions to published research in the field.
